Appointment details
Do you offer both in-person and virtual appointments?
Yes, Johanna and Victoria offer in person appointments at their office located at 5720 Six Forks Rd, Suite 202, Raleigh, and virtual appointments for anyone living in North Carolina.
How long do sessions last?
Both in-person and virtual appointments will last 53–60 minutes.
What can I expect for in-person?
When you arrive, you'll be welcomed into our waiting room. At the time of your appointment, your therapist will come out to greet you personally and bring you back to the session space.
What can I expect for virtual?
Virtual appointments are held through SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant platform that protects your privacy. Prior to your appointment, you'll receive a secure link to join the session. To get the most out of your time, we ask that you join from a private, quiet space where you feel comfortable speaking freely.
What can I expect for my first appointment?
The first appointment is an initial assessment, where your therapist will take the time to get to know you and explore what brings you to therapy. They will review your history, current concerns and symptoms, while also explaining how therapy works, including reviewing confidentiality and practice policies. By the end of the appointment, you and your therapist will work together to identify initial goals and outline a plan for moving forward.
How do I get to your office?
Our office location is 5720 Six Forks Rd., Suite 202
Please note that Google Maps may take you to the wrong building once you enter the business plaza. The plaza is called Capital Office Centre, and here are the best directions once you arrive:
After entering the business plaza, the building will be on your left.
Feel free to park anywhere, including spaces marked “Guest Only.”
Once inside the building, the office is upstairs on the left.
*Please be aware that our office requires stair access and is not elevator accessible. We want everyone to feel comfortable and supported. If this presents a challenge, virtual sessions are available.
Billing and insurance
What insurances do you accept?
Johanna accepts Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Victoria accepts Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
They do not accept Blue Home or Healthy Blue Medicaid plans.
If Johanna and Victoria are out-of-network with your insurance plan, you may still work with them as a self-pay client and request a superbill to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider to learn more about your out-of-network coverage.
How much do sessions cost?
Cost will depend on your insurance plan and your plan’s mental health benefits and coverage. Self-pay costs will vary depending on the clinician, please reach out to the provider that you would like to work with to learn more.
Johanna and Victoria offer limited sliding scale/reduced rate appointments. Please contact the provider you would like to work with for more information.
What is a good faith estimate?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the current law, health care providers are required to give clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
